In the fall of 2001, I wrote and directed a show for Theatre Erindale. The play, originally called
"The Loyalist Project", was based on books written by my great-grandfather and my great-great grandfather. It’s a fast-paced account of 200 years of Canadian history, with a lot of music and cartoon-style scenes juxtaposed with dramatic events. It was very well received, so I was encouraged to adapt it for a smaller cast size of eleven actors. This revised version is called "Rebel Roads...stories of the Loyalists". Write me if you’d be interested in a copy of the script.

"The Comedy of Errors" that I directed for Theatre Erindale in January 2001.
This link will take to you the theatre program and notes on a production of
"6 War Years" that Dia Frid and I adapted from Barry Broadfoot’s book of the same name. The show had a very successful run at UTM’s Theatre Erindale in the fall of 1995.
Subsequent productions of "6 War Years" were mounted at Ryerson Theatre School in Toronto in 1998, and Widdifield Secondary School in North Bay in 1999. Ryerson’s production was presented as the showpiece production for the 50th anniversary of Ryerson Polytechnic (now Ryerson University). Widdifield’s production was entered in the Sears Ontario Drama Festival, and won at District and Regional levels, proceeding to the Provincial Showcase at Hart House Theatre in Toronto. It collected a number of awards en route.
"Lovers in Dangerous Times" is a show that I directed at Theatre Erindale in 1998. It was based on a wide variety of scenes liberally adapted from Shakespeare’s plays.
