I have really enjoyed the productions in recent years at the
Stratford Festival. Their 50th anniversary season in 2002 was wonderful and they continue to maintain an amazingly high standard.

Another favourite summer theatre company is the
Shaw Festival at Niagara-on-the-Lake. A few years ago while on sabbatical leave from my College, I audited rehearsals of "Too True To Be Good" and really enjoyed the experience. There is such a wonderful ambience within the Shaw Festival company.

Hart House Theatre at the University of Toronto is one of Canada’s most historic theatres. I have adjudicated countless productions there on behalf of the Sears Ontario Drama Festival, and my students and I were involved in the fight to save the theatre from conversion to clubhouse space.
